Boots Zara//Knits & Other Stories,and UNIQLO

I’m loving these new wardrobe additions. The red boots are a nice addition to the 30 black pairs that’s already in my wardrobe, while the sweaters are essentials- good basics that keep me warm. When buying knits I always check the label of the sweater as price rarely equals quality. I never purchase sweaters with less than 80% wool, and I always stay clear of polyester; it’s static, uncomfortable and lasts one wash…

My favorite stores for high quality knits that doesn’t break the bank? & Other Stories, UNIQLO, and H&M’s Premium Quality sweaters.

Perfect for fall

Walking by Zara in SoHo, I immediately fell for this army, Balmain-inspired coat. Structured shape, great materials, and eye-catching details – it’s got everything. I can’t wait until the temperature drops so that I can wear it. It might be a while though, since it’s currently 20 Celsius in New York…

coat-2

With the exception of my new coat, things are pretty much the same; school, work, eat, homework repeat. Even though my stress levels have reached new highs this semester, I’m pretty happy with my situation – its busy and eventful. This weekend, I’m working Friday and Saturday, we’re celebrating Maria on Saturday and Sunday will be dedicated to finance and marketing. Fun, fun, fun…

Saturday Brunch

100816-1.jpgSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESEarlier today, I had brunch with some lovely ladies. We were supposed to go to Jack’s Wife Freda, but since they had an hour wait, we headed to Delicatessen: our favorite go-to for great food and delicious drinks. We sat outside and had a great time, until the table next to us arrived – you’re in a restaurant, do you really have to scream your conversation? It’s annoying and disrespectful.

After brunch, Maria and I headed home as we both have so much stuff to do; everything from finance to marketing research is on the agenda, and I honestly don’t know where to start. What I do know, however, is that I have to stop procrastinating – a skill I master far to well…

Anyways, I hope you have a less depressing Saturday night than me! Xx Hanna

Shadow Sunglasses In Black And Havana Acetate With Brown Shaded Lenses

When I got home this evening, I was thrilled to see a FedEx package lying on the salon table. I opened the box, and there they were, my new sunnies from Céline. I’ve been looking for a pair like these since I lost my square Saint Laurent shades a couple of years back. They’re casual, cool, and will go great with any outfit. And, of course, they protect my eyes to the outmost satisfaction.  What’s not to love?

Sephora Haul

Yesterday, Maria and I stopped by Sephora at Columbus Circle to restock some make-up necessities. Due to our overexcitement for makeup, and lack of shopping willpower, we ended up with a few items that weren’t on the list. Not as fun for the plastic as for us, but as Maria’s mum said humorously ” If you don’t look pretty now, you can’t blame Sephora” Here are some new additions, and old favorites.

SKIN

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in color 5 – I have yet to fin a foundation better than this one. It truly creates that flawless skin every girl craves.

NARS Bronzing Powder in color Laguna – an old time favorite.

Anastasia Contour Cream Kit I loved the powdered contour palette, so I can’t wait to try this one. In my experience, creams often look more natural than powder.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Prosecco Pop/Pamplemousse. This brand is my go-to for highlighters, and these shades were perfect for summer.

(In addition to these products I use a primer from Smashbox and Dior, a corrector from Bobbi Brown, and a setting powder fro YSL.)

EYES

Kat Von D tattoo liner. The only liquid eyeliner worth having. The super thin tip gives a flawless line in a matter of minutes. A godsend for those of us that are used to spending 30 minutes and a package of q-tips to create a somewhat OK line.

NARS Larger than Life Long Wear Eyeliner. To enhance and brighten.

Milk Eye Vinyl in color Bridge. A liquid eyeshadow that creates a simple, dewy look.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in color Light 2, Vanilla. Perfect coverage and easy to work with.

Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion, Original. This product singlehandedly changed my makeup game.

(In addition to this, I use Anastasia Brow Wiz and gel, Diorshow Mascara and various eyeshadows.)

LIPS

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture in color 13. The perfect orange shade to compliment my soon to be tan skin.

And of course my beloved clear elastics. The rest are testers from Makeup Forever.

Pumped up kicks

Spring is upon us and it’s time to replace your all-weather boots with some lighter footing. This season, you can sport anything from a daring stiletto to a neutral sneaker – comfortable, practical and playful. The seasons key style, however, will be The Mule; creating the ultimate cool-girl look.

Even though you don’t have to break the bank to be stylish, I’ve created a wish list from NET-A-PORTER; Unattainable, yet very inspirational.

Little black box

After getting academic books delivered from Amazon every other day since I got back to New York, it was a nice surprise when a box labeled Net-a-porter landed on my front door. Or, surprise may be pushing it as I did click the items into the shopping cart, and paid for them myself… SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

As I’ve mentioned before, good basics are a necessity in every wardrobe, and if you happen to find such items on sale, it would be a crime not to purchase them. Especially at 70% of. So as a result of my online browsing Tuesday night, I ended up with a pair of 70’s inspired jeans from FRAME denim and a signature t-shirt from Kenzo. Pretty and budget friendly – considering that my wish list in the mentioned store contains items worth more than a luxury car. A girl can dream, right?

IT’S ALL ABOUT THAT GLAM

As you should may already know, today was the launch of the BALMAIN X H&M collaboration. When the items of this collection was released, I was ecstatic – the pieces were gorgeous, in true BALMAIN fashion – extravagant, glamorous, and a little too much. I couldn’t wait to strut around dressed in head-to-toe Balmain.

Full of hope and anticipation, Maria and I went to the 5th avenue store 7:30 this morning, thinking we were out in good time. Turns out, we couldn’t have been more wrong. The line was endless, people had already received their wristbands and there were no way anything would be left for us after they had their turn. Therefore, we went to the Times Square store, hoping there would be less people (feel the irony). Turns out, luck was on our side; We were greeted by a friendly old man, got a baby-blue wristband, and stood in line for 2 hours.

When they finally let our group into the shopping area, the ambiance went from crazy to circus – people were all over the place, and items were ripped of the racks. Consequently, the selection was slim, and I only managed to get my hands on a couple of pieces. Pieces, which I’m beyond happy about – I love the fabric, cut and colors. Bottle green is definitely this falls’ it-color..

Did you get anything from the designer collab?

Sunday funday

Since yesterday was spent solely in bed, we decided that today had to be more productive. After the mandetory long sunday breakfast, we headed to Bloomingdales and 5th avenue for some post-birthday shopping. On my list was a matte, gold watch – which was the only thing I didn’t find. Every single one looked cheap and blingy – something a rapper would wear in a lowbudget music video – if you know what I mean.. I did, however, find a new Marc Jacobs Wallet, some basics at Zara and Topshop, two pair of shoes, and a super cheap bag at forever21. The Loboutin nail polish was a birthday gift from Maria and Emilie. It’s the perfect shade of red!

We also managed to squeeze in a lunch at TAO. Their Crispy Orange Chicken is to die for. A true must if you’re ever in the city.

At the moment I’m just laying in bed trying to start my 2000 word paper that’s due tommorrow night. I’m writing about new reproductive technologies and their impact on family structure and society at large. Sounds fun? It’s not..

See you soon! Xx Hanna
